I was told by my grandfather that if you are destined to hang you'll never drown. I have never been afraid of water . . .

  1. Like the bird pictures. When my feeders are full, I seem to get only doves, blackbirds, and sparrows. When almost empty, the cardinals, and blue jays find it. I wish they would come sooner before the undesirable birds eat it all.

    • The Spring season is over and after the nests are empty of the young, the Mockingbirds, Red-headed and Red-bellied Woodpeckers, and Brown Thrashers go elsewhere. The Golden and House Finches along with the Sparrows, Doves, Nuthatches, Titmouse, Blue Jays, Starlings and Downy Woodpeckers are still around. Unfortunately, the picture taking season is over but it was a grand run this year! Now (with an inventory of Spring photographs not yet posted) is the time of year for the new projects … (and one o’clock naps when the heat is up)

  2. I love to see the birds we don’t have over here. I have never seen a Mockingbird. Beautiful photographs, thank you for sharing!
