I was told by my grandfather that if you are destined to hang you'll never drown. I have never been afraid of water . . .

    • Ms Mitza, this has become an interesting and rewarding series. From a vacant lot with a sign to where it stands today. And, the weather has changed from extreme heat and humidity to numbing cold that makes your finger ache. Thanks for your kind and generous comments. g

  2. Niiiice. My library card has been my most treasured possession since I was about 6 years old. It’s great to see books get a wonderful home. I hope each of the builders takes the time to write a short poem (or a long poem, whatever turns ’em on) on one of the studs as the walls go up. ~~Cyn

  3. I love the lighting in this photo, John! And…I especially enjoy the fact that you’re posting again! I’ve missed seeing what you and Kat are up to!

    • Thank you Ms Shelly. I’ve had two falls in two months and a severe cold lately and just couldn’t or didn’t feel well enough to do much blogging. Kat on the other hand has had a good tow months and I will be doing a post about her soon. g

  4. Oh my, John – truly stunning! I want you to know that I am truly humbled by your work in helping us chronicle this construction journey – a library is so much more than a building full of books, as you well know. It is the heart of a community, and you have been and will always be a BIG part of that heart for us!! Thank you!

  5. Very nice. I do not know the proximity or location of Russell, from Puducah, but I. have heard that Puducah, Kentucky and the whole state of Tennessee has really beautiful grass that is blue.
